
ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili discussed issues related to the expansion of Armenian-Georgian relations and cooperation in various spheres during the meeting in Yerevan.
As the press service of the Armenian President told ArmInfo, Sargsyan noted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Georgian high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral friendship and solving existing problems are constantly held in an atmosphere of mutual trust. "I am convinced that thanks to this, including this meeting, the volume of trade between our countries is increasing, cooperation in economic, cultural and other spheres is strengthening. The results are obvious and measurable, which is very important for qualitatively new level of our cooperation and strengthening of bilateral relations. This year we will hold a number of major events in Armenia, of which the upcoming summit of the Francophonie would like to highlight particularly. I hope that Georgia at a high level will participate in the summit," said the Armenian leader.
The Prime Minister of Georgia expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Armenian-Georgian relations in 2017 were marked by a number of mutual visits at a high level. According to him, these visits testify to the dynamically developing dynamics of the Armenian-Georgian relations. "We have discussed the issues of economic cooperation and the prospects that are opening at the meeting with our Armenian counterpart. As you have already noted, we have a jubilee year. Our states celebrate the 100th anniversary of the declaration of independence and I hope that these important events will be held at a high level. You have touched upon, I am informed that Georgia will participate in this event at a high level and I hope that our meetings will be of a long-term nature and our relations will be further strengthened," the head of the Georgian government said.
