The Defense Minister of Artsakh summed up the results of the 2017 army year

ArmInfo. NKR Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan summed up results of 2017 army year.

At the press conference, in particular, Mnatsakanyan presented the operational situation on the contact line of the troops, recalling that the NKR Defense Army prevented an attempt to sabotage in the east and south- east directions on the night of February 24 to February 25, as a result of which the enemy left the neutral zone, leaving 5 corpses from a special detachment and evacuating 3 wounded, the enemy's Armed Forces were thrown back to their initial positions. Then, Mnatsakanyan touched upon the military exercises conducted by the enemy, presenting the inventory work of the AR on the contact line, and also touched upon the issues of the acquisition of arms and military equipment by the NKR Defense Army.

The Defense Minister noted that in 2017, not a single military operation of the armed forces of Azerbaijan remained unnoticed, and the Artsakh defense army took adequate steps that ensured the peaceful life of the NKR people. Levon Mnatsakanyan underlined that last year safe working conditions for servicemen were created, the level of readiness for combat duty was raised, work was also carried out to improve military discipline and improve air defense systems, staff interaction, introduce new technologies, upgrade monitoring systems, develop communications, technical and logistical work is carried out.

Summing up the results of the year, Mnatsakanyan noted that the Defense Army managed to preserve the peace and security of the people of Artsakh and honor its military duty with honor.
