ArmInfo.France is with Armenia and, if possible, will provide the necessary assistance in holding the summit of the Francophonie in Armenia at the highest level this  year.  According to the RA President's press office, French President Emmanuel Macron stated this during a meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during a working visit.

Accepting the invitation to participate in this summit, the French  President noted the importance attached to this important event. The  interlocutors also discussed prospects for the development of  Armenia-EU relations after the signing of the framework agreement.

Macron got acquainted with the approaches of his Armenian counterpart  towards advancing the process of the settlement of the Karabakh  conflict, Armenia's relations with the countries of the region.

The Presidents attached special importance to the continued  development of the Armenian-French parliamentary ties, stressing the  need to intensify economic cooperation. The interlocutors underlined  the mutual desire to bring relations in the field of economy to the  rapidly developing political relations.
