ArmInfo. The deputy of the Armenian parliament from the "Elk" bloc Edmond Marukyan raised the issue of mass distribution of electoral bribes during the elections in Armenia from the rostrum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The MP urged the PACE to more closely monitor the implementation of relevant laws in Armenia, which presuppose criminal responsibility for the distribution of bribes. The deputy noted that during the elections there was also an abuse of administrative resources, and this problem is one of the top priorities in Armenia. He stressed that members of the "Elk" faction during the elections to the local self-government bodies in Yerevan acquired the necessary evidence for the distribution of pre-election bribes, but law enforcement agencies have hushed the case.
