ArmInfo. One of the well-known experts in the Karabakh issue, American analyst Paul Goble is convinced that the upcoming January meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will not provide significant progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
"In all likelihood, the upcoming meeting will not end in any way, as there are no prerequisites for this," the Armenian FM uses desperate language, while Azerbaijan does not change its militaristic rhetoric, "Goble told the 168 Zham newspaper. At the same time, he is convinced that if the mediators succeed in reaching a consensus on the introduction of confidence-building mechanisms, this will be the biggest achievement of this year, and to expect more is meaningless. It should be noted that the date of the meeting of Nalbandyan-Mammadyarov has already been determined. It will be held in Krakow on 18 January.
