The transformation will be carried out in accordance with the chapter 13 of the new Constitution of Armenia. "In principle, the goals and objectives of the Control Chamber and the Audit Chamber being created coincide, but the Audit Chamber has several advantages, in particular, it will be more independent, open and transparent," Minasyan said, and in this context explained that, according to the new Constitution Armenia, the Audit Chamber will independently prepare its reports, and will not depend on the parliament, as was the case with the Control Chamber.
He also informed that the new chamber will be subject to both internal and external audit, which will allow several times to improve the effectiveness of this structure. The deputy also said that when developing the project, Estonia's experience was used, which is a post-Soviet country with a parliamentary governance system, and where European experience in this matter is effectively applied.
