ArmInfo. The Presidential elections in Armenia are likely to take place on March 2. Head of the faction of the ruling Republican Party Vahram Baghdasaryan told journalists about it. He noted that, according to the law, presidential elections in Armenia should be held between February 28 and March 10, but the voting in the parliament will most likely be held on March 2. Baghdasaryan said also that the ruling majority will start discussing the candidacy of the president from this week.
The authority term of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan expires on April 9 this year. According to the reformed Constitution, the Armenian President will now elect a parliament of 3/5 votes.
