ArmInfo.As a result of cooperation between the Prosecutor's Offices of Armenia and Georgia, Robert Aghvanyan was extradited from Georgia to Armenia, who is wanted for smuggling anti-aircraft missile complex MANPADS from Georgia to Armenia.
According to the press service of General Prosecutor's service, on March 24, 2017, on the basis of evidence obtained during the preliminary investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Security Service of Armenia, it was decided to convict Robert Aghvanyan for the crimes envisaged by Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code.
As a result of joint activities conducted in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Republic of Armenia, NSS staff and the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Aghvanyan was found on March 27 in Tbilisi. On December 25, 2017, the Aghvanian was transferred to Armenia.
