ArmInfo. The project "Support for Migration and Border Management in Armenia" (MIBMA) within the framework of the Action Program for 2017-2021 to implement 173 special events in 8 directions. The representative of the International Center for the Development of Migration Policy (ICMPD), the head of the MIBMA project Carel Hofstra, told a meeting with journalists in the Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia on December 25.
He recalled that one of the goals of the MIBMA project, launched last year, was to stimulate dialogue on the liberalization of the visa regime. "It is important for the European community to clearly understand the situation with migration in Armenia, which will create confidence in the Armenian migration system and will help move forward on the launch of a dialogue on the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU," Hofstra said.
At the same time, he said that in 2018 within the framework of the concept of integration of migrants orientation courses will be organized for the first time, payments for housing and Armenian language courses will be subsidized, for this 18 million 158 thousand AMD will be allocated from the state budget of the country. The issue of readmission will be in the center of attention, in this connection an electronic system will be introduced. Within the framework of the MIBMA project, a project has also been developed for the construction of a building for those who applied for asylum. The building costing $ 1.5 million is designed for 120 people.
