ArmInfo. The superior of the Constantinople diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Garegin Bekchyan, made a statement regarding the situation that emerged after the statement of the American leader Donald Trump about the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Bekchyan, in particular, called for to refrain from steps that could lead to large-scale clashes, at a time when the global world is in a vulnerable state. He stressed that Jerusalem is an important center for the three religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The archbishop also stated that the ongoing processes are very troubling to the Armenian community of Turkey.
