European Commission head: European Union can be useful, but stability  must begin at home

ArmInfo.The European Union can be useful, but stability must begin at home, which all sides agree, "European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told  reporters following the Brussels summit of the Eastern Partnership.

On November 24, Armenia signed the Agreement on Comprehensive and  Enhanced Partnership with the EU on the margins of the Eastern  Partnership Summit in Brussels. Signatures under the agreement in the  presence of the president RA President Serzh Sargsyan and Chairman of  the European Council Donald Tusk were appointed by the RA Foreign  Minister Edward Nalbandian and the head of European diplomacy  Federica Mogerini.

"Over the past two years, since the Riga summit of the EaP, we have  made great strides in ensuring the stability of the region as a  whole." The stability of the home means work, access to education,  opportunities to thrive in a strong national economy. "Since 2009,  the EU has provided a small business in the entire region "VP"  financial support of 1.5 billion euros, "Juncker said.

From this point of view, the head of the European Commission  appreciated the signing of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership  Agreement with Armenia as evidence of the EU's commitment to the  current policy towards the achievement and strengthening of  stability.

The agreement on a comprehensive and expanded partnership has already  become public. The accent in the extensive 357-page document is put  on the affirmation of justice, freedom, security in Armenia;  reforming the Constitution and the judiciary; observance of human  rights and fundamental freedoms, etc. All this is provided that the  European Union participates in financing various projects in Armenia.
