Levon Mnatsakanyan: If the country is not reliably protected, no  science and education will not cost a farthing

ArmInfo. The situation on the line of contact of Karabakh- Azerbaijani troops has remained calm for the last time, and analyzes show that in the near future there will  be no escalation. Head of the Artsakh Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan  stated this in a conversation with journalists.

Commenting on the statement of the President of Armenia Serzh  Sargsyan that the settlement of the Karabakh conflict will be  painful, at the request of the journalists, Mnatsakanyan said: "It  will be painful not for us, but for others."

Speaking about the new law on the "Status of Serviceman and Military  Service," Mnatsakanyan considered it effective, considering that  security issues should be first, and only then science and education:  "If the country is not reliably protected, no science and education  will will cost a broken penny. " It should be noted that the new law  provides for the complete abolition of postponement from military  service for young people suitable for military service, including  students and entrants. This caused discontent among students who  believe that the new system will hit hard on the quality of education  in the country.
