ArmInfo.In March 2018, the "European Planning Conference 2018", organized by the youth non-governmental organization AEGEE / European Students Forum, will be held in Yerevan. The conference will be held from 8 to 12 March.
Within the framework of the conference, about 250 young people from more than 30 countries of the European Union (EU) and the Eastern Partnership (EP) will arrive in Yerevan. At the conference, the participants will discuss Armenia-EU relations, the opportunities offered by the EU Erasmus + program, as well as possible options for combating youth unemployment, involving young people in democratic reforms in the Eastern Partnership countries and strengthening civil society.
The participants will have the opportunity to participate in thematic seminars and master classes of local and European experts, as well as organize information exhibitions dedicated specifically to Armenian students.
It is noteworthy that for 32 years of the history of the organization, for the first time the conference will be held in the South Caucasus, thereby emphasizing its intention to expand the scope of cooperation with youth of non-EU countries.
Founded in 1985, in Paris, AEGEE currently has about 15,000 members and more than 200 offices throughout Europe. The Yerevan office of the organization has been functioning since August 2010.
In fact, the "European Planning Conference 2018" will be the largest thematic European youth event ever organized in Armenia, which will be dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan.
