According to the Azerbaijani media sources, at a press conference held after the 6th meeting of the High- Level Strategic Cooperation Council Turkey-Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said about it. The Azerbaijani leader expressed regret at the fact that the conflict did not find its solution and shifted all the blame for the lack of progress in the negotiations on Armenia. "The UN Security Council adopted four resolutions in connection with the conflict, which remain on paper, Armenia ignores them, and the conflict does not find its solution," he stressed. Aliyev also believes that double standards are applied against Azerbaijan: "Sometimes resolutions of the UN Security Council are being implemented in a few days.As for us, the resolutions remain unfulfilled for more than 20 years." The conflict must be resolved on the basis of international law, within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. There is no other way, Azerbaijan will never allow a second Armenian state to be created on its lands, I already expressed my gratitude to the Turkish colleague for the support provided in this matter. Turkey always supports the just cause of Azerbaijan. "
Aliyev also referred to the defense cooperation with Turkey and stressed that three joint military exercises were held this year. "Two exercises were held in Baku, one in Nakhchivan, a factor that strengthens our cooperation in the military sphere." Our cooperation is also continuing in the military-technical field. "The military-industrial complex of Turkey, developing day by day, is of great interest to us. We will acquire and we will purchase military products from Turkey, "the Azerbaijani leader concluded.
