ArmInfo.The 5th International Khachaturian Festival continues to present exceptional  concerts. On October 19, the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, led by conductor Sergei Smbatyan, will perform the Orc Symphony No. 1 of the Armenian-American rock singer and composer Serge Tankian. The composition will be presented in Armenia for the first time.

The Armenian audience will have an opportunity to get acquainted with  the symphony of Serzh Tankian, who performs in the genre of hard  rock, alternative metal, art rock, folk-rock, etc. Tankian notes that  it is a great honor for him that the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia  will perform his symphony Orc No. 1 in the framework of the  International Festival Khachaturyan.

Symphony Orc No. 1 was recorded in October 2012 in Austria, in Linz.  June 25, 2013 the symphony was released as an album. The musician  notes that he wrote Orca Symphony No. 1 as a way to talk about  humanity, comparing orc orcas with humans. Four acts of the work  predstavlyayut the life of the orcs.

, and it  basically represents the life of the killer whale, how it can be a  victorious animal, how it can kill and achieve all sorts of physical  opportunities on this planet. In the second act, the orc decides to  enter the deep state of meditation and self-realization.  Between the  second and third acts, the animal realizes that in itself is a  dolphin. We call it the killer whale, but in fact it refers to the  type of mammals, dolphins. Comparing the killer whale and dolphin as  a good and bad version of mankind, I try to say that we are both  equally good and bad, that everyone has color and darkness inside.  And everyone decides to go to the light and believe in life!

The last and final act of the Orca is called Lamentation of the  Beached. It was then that the orc or we could say that humanity is  aware that our life on this planet is limited not only by our own age  and physical existence, but also by the age of the planet itself and  by what we do for the planet.
