Armenian Investigative Committee on shooting at medical center: An  attempt of escape is suppressed 

ArmInfo.The Investigative Committee of Armenia instituted criminal proceedings in connection with the armed incident in the capital medical center "Armenia".   ArmInfo correspondent was informed about this in the press service of  the RA IC.

According to preliminary data, an inmate of the penitentiary  institution was brought to the medical center "Armenia" for medical  examination. During the examination of the prisoner, an armed man  burst into the room and opened fire to create conditions for the  escape of the convict. The shooter was neutralized by the guards,  however, the prisoner stole a gun from one of the guards and opened  fire in their direction. He tried to escape, but was detained and  rendered harmless at the entrance to the hospital.

At the same time, it is noted that in connection with the incident, a  criminal case was instituted on the basis of articles 34-104, part 2,  clauses 1 and 2 of the RA Criminal Code, 238 part 1 and 238, part 3  of the Criminal Code of the RA. Earlier, it became known that an  armed man opened a random shooting at the Medical Center "Armenia".  There is no injured as a result of the incident. The shooter was  detained.
