ArmInfo. Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for the South Caucasus, Christian Vigenin, issued a statement accusing the Azerbaijani media of distorting his words during his visit to Baku.
The statement of the OSCE PA Special Envoy, received in ArmInfo, in particular, reads: "During my recent trip to Azerbaijan, local media incorrectly quoted me." It is reported that, despite the requirement to immediately correct errors, news sites still used inaccurate information. "Therefore, I must repeat that I never proposed revising the composition of the OSCE Minsk Group, I support the mediation efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group and the co-chairs, and I will continue to work at the parliamentary level to contribute to their efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," in the statement of Christian Vigenin.
On September 26, the OSCE PA Special Representative held a number of meetings in Baku, during which the prospects of the Azerbaijani-Armenian settlement were discussed, including the activities of the Minsk Group. According to a number of Azerbaijani media reports, K.Vigenin, at a meeting with the leaders of parties represented in the Milli Majlis, allegedly said that he "understands Azerbaijan's dissatisfaction with the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group, because there is virtually no progress in the settlement of the conflict." Next year will be 25 years since the creation of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE Minsk Group), so its composition can be revised. "
Subsequently, all three countries co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, the United States and France) said that there is no revision of the format or composition of the group.
