ArmInfo. ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank held in Gyumri another two-day free business seminar for representatives of SMEs operating in the regions. And this time the theme of the seminar concerned the hotel business - "Provision and marketing of hotel services", "Attention to guests", "Motivation and retention of staff". As the press service of the Bank told ArmInfo, 20 representatives of SMEs of Shirak region took part in the business seminar.

ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and the administration of Shirak region signed a memorandum providing for unification of efforts to develop the SME sector. The staff of the Bank, who recently received IFC Business Edge certificates from the international business trainer, held seminars in Lori, Armavir, Sjunik and Shirak this year in addition to Yerevan.

"We can state that this year the growth of tourist flow has been fixed, and that is why the subject of this business seminar is focused on the hotel business in the regions, given the observed demand and development prospects. We are sure that the experience of the Bank, accumulated over 20 years of experience and the best international examples, which during the business seminar were presented to the entities of SME of Shirak, will positively affect the quality of the services they provide and the development of their business," said the head of the Marketing and Development Department I Bank ACBA-Credit Agricole Arsen Melkonyan.

In total, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank has conducted 55 free business seminars, attended by over 700 representatives of SMEs from 380 organizations operating in the areas of services, trade, industry and agriculture. According to the Financial Rating of the Armenian Banks as of July 1, 2017 prepared by the NA ArmInfo, in the credit portfolio of the ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, the share of SMEs is about 20% or $ 86.4 million (41.5 billion AMD) with an annual growth of 22.8%, but only for II quarter of this year by 10.8%.  In total investments of banks in this sphere, the share of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank reaches 7%. "ACBA- Credit Agricole Bank" CJSC has been operating in Armenia since 1995. Since September 2006, the largest European banking group Credit Agricole SA has been the majority shareholder of the bank with a 15.56% interest in the capital, after which SJSC "Sacam International" (a member of the Credit Agricole SA group) has a 12.44% interest in participation, along with which there are 10 regional Unions of Villager Mutual Assistance). In terms of coverage of the branch network, the bank is included in the TOP-5, and the number of regional branches retains the third position.
