US President congratulates Armenian President on Independence Day

ArmInfo.President of the United States of America Donald Trump sent a congratulatory message to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of the  Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

Trump's message reads in part: "Dear President, On behalf of the  government and people of the United States, I want to congratulate  you and the people of Armenia on the 26th anniversary of the  proclamation of Independence, which is celebrated on September 21.  This year we also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment  of diplomatic relations between our two countries. Since your  independence, we have worked together for the sake of our common  interests to help Armenia's democracy and economy. We are ready to  continue our assistance to Armenia in the implementation of the new  constitution and the transition to a parliamentary system of  government. We strive to expand mutually beneficial trade and  investment relations for our two countries. We also highly appreciate  Armenia's participation in international peacekeeping missions and in  NATO exercises and other multinational exercises, in particular, in  the summer of this year the "Honest Partner" exercise, which was  headed by the American side. We appreciate Armenia's assistance to  Syrian refugees. Once again I congratulate you and the Armenian  people on the progress recorded in the issues of democracy, security  and regional stability. I send the best wishes for this holiday and  the coming year, "- said in the congratulatory message of the US  President Donald Trump.
