This was stated on  September 18 by the Sixth Pan-Armenian Forum "Armenia-Diaspora" held in Yerevan under the motto "Mutual trust, unity and responsibility", the Catholicos of the House of Cilicia, Aram First.  "Armenia's security is a national priority, which requires a strong attachment to its land, Armenia."

The homeland is primarily the land and people, and then the state and the economy. "In this light, the growth of the Armenian population should be ensured through the implementation of  specific programs. In this light, mutual trust and responsibility in  the Armenia-Diaspora relations are of the utmost importance. It needs  to move forward, clarifying the roles, priorities, giving the  cooperation a new quality, "he said.

In this regard, Aram First sees the need to create a culture of  nation-wide thinking through which it becomes possible to resist the  surrounding challenges. Otherwise, according to his estimates, the  Diaspora will wear out.

"Armenia and the Diaspora are not partners, they are the sons of one  nation, it is this concept that should underlie the implementation of  all Armenia-Diaspora programs." Armenia is not an object of tourism,  not a market for business, not a pass. "Alas, if we approach Armenia  only from such positions. "Armenia is the collective house of the  Armenian, the home of the past, the present, the future." We must  strengthen this house with all the available potential, "said the  Catholicos. According to him, in turn, the Diaspora for Armenia is  not only a business, being an inseparable part of the whole unified  Armenian community.  Accordingly, along with cultural, educational  interaction, it is necessary to seriously think about the means of  involving specialists from the Diaspora in the relevant structures of  Armenia. "The strengthening of Armenia is the strengthening of the  Diaspora and vice versa," stressed Aram First.

More than 1500 delegates from 70 countries take part in the work of  the Sixth Pan-Armenian Forum "Armenia-Diaspora" this year. The forum  consists of 3 plenary sessions, 16 thematic sessions on 4 directions.
