ArmInfo.The fire in the Byurakan forest is settled, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports. According to the information of the Ministry, the situation at 18.00 on September 7, the fire that broke out near Byurakan village in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia is completely isolated. Work is underway to definitively extinguish the fire. 155 rescuers, residents of adjacent villages, forestry workers (over 250 people) work on the site.
"Thanks to the measures taken and the right tactics of fire prevention, we managed to almost completely preserve the local forest area," the ministry informs. Recall that the fire signal was received on September 3, around 15:26 in Yerevan time.
