ArmInfo. In the case in connection with the false information about the bomb allegedly laid in the building of the National Assembly of Armenia, a criminal case was instituted by the Arabkir department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
As reported by the press service of the SC, on September 2, 2017, early in the morning, 911 received a signal that an explosive device had been placed in the building of the National Assembly of Armenia located at Baghramyan Street. As a result of search operations, the signal was not confirmed and there was no explosive device in the building.
A criminal case was opened in accordance with Article 259 of the RA Criminal Code, within the scope of the investigation, after the implementation of the necessary investigative and operational-search actions, the number from which the call was made was established. According to preliminary data, the phone was used by a resident of the city of Yerevan, who was questioned. The investigator filed a petition with the court in order to receive the breakdown statement of telephone calls made from this number from September 1 to 3, 2017. The preliminary investigation continues.
