Accusation on the fact of shooting in Shamiram village was raised -  IC disclosed new details of case

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia on August 26 put forward charges against Telman Kalashyan, born in 1967. Kalashyan is accused of killing 4 citizens, committed in a way dangerous to the lives of others, attempted  murder, illegal acquisition, possession of weapons and ammunition.

According to the press service of the department, in the course of  the investigative measures of the particularly grave crime, committed  on August 1 in the funeral salon of the village of Shamiram, the  Investigative Committee of Armenia established motives and a number  of circumstances that provoked the crime.

Thus, it was established that in 2013, T. Kalashyan gave out 75,000  US dollars to the Khudoyan brothers living in Russia at interest.  Within two years, Khudoyan's brothers poured out Kalashyan's debt  piecemeal - $ 45,000, but later, due to unsuccessful activity, they  could not pay interest and return the principal amount, which what  they told to Kalashyan.

Without accepting these explanations, Kalashyan began to address the  relatives and friends of the Khudoyan brothers, including Herman  Karamyan, in the hope of regaining both interest and the money. On  August 1, Kalashyan again had a telephone conversation with Herman  Karamyan, demanding the return of money, during which a verbal  skirmish ensued and mutual insults were heard.

Having learned that the relatives and friends of the five Khudoyan  brothers are in the village of Shamiram to participate in the  national holiday of the Yezidis, Kalashyan went to the village of  Shamiram by car "VAZ 21214". Arriving at the place the armed  Kalashyan went to the funeral parlor, insulted those present and  began random shooting of the people who were there, trying to find  among them Karamyan.

As a result of firing, 4 people were killed and 7 were injured in  various degrees of severity. After committing the crime, Kalashyan  fled the scene of the crime, shooting and injuring another person who  witnessed the tragedy in the funeral parlor and tried to prevent the  flight of Kalashyan.

Being in the course of 24 days on the wanted list, Kalashyan was  detained today and sent to the investigative body.

Kalashyan was charged under Article 104 of part 2 on 1 and 6 points -  the murder of two or more persons, committed in a way dangerous to  the lives of many people, part 1, art. 235 - illegal acquisition,  sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms (except for  smooth-bore firearms and cartridges to it), ammunition, cartridges  for rifled firearms, explosives or explosive devices and in part 1 of  Art. 34-104 RA Criminal Code attempted to commit a crime and murder,  two or more persons. The court sent an application for the use of a  preventive measure against a criminal in custody.

However, taking into account all the circumstances of the case, a  notice was sent to the main correctional department of Armenia with a  request to take measures to ensure the security of Kalashyan. The  investigation continues.
