Since September 2017, protection of three sections of National Park  "Dilijan" to be carried by a private company 

ArmInfo.In Armenia, for the first time, a pilot project is launched to ensure the protection of national parks by a private company. The corresponding draft decision, providing for changes and additions to the Armenian law "On the state budget of  Armenia for 2017" and the decision of the Armenian Government of December 29, 2016, was approved at a meeting of the RA Government on August 24.

According to Artsvik Minasyan, Minister of Nature Protection of  Armenia, according to the project, the Armenian government will  allocate 83.8 million drams to the National Park Sevan for cleaning  the flooded areas of the forest in an area of 64 hectares. Another 15  million drams will be received by the National Park "Dilijan" SNCO to  protect three sites by a private company. The price proposal of the  company that won the tender is 55.5 million drams, of which 40.5  million drams will be allocated from the means of the National Park  "Dilijan" ", And the remaining 15 million drams will be provided from  the state budget funds saved by the Ministry. In addition, 10 million  drams in order to provide modern technology - cameras and  notification systems will be provided at the expense of the Caucasus  Nature Fund for the acquisition of technical the agreement with the  private security company comes into force on September 1, 2017,  Minasyan said.

As noted the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, this is  Armenia's first experience in delegating the function of protecting  the national park to the private sector. "It is necessary to conduct  constant monitoring in order to understand the productivity of such a  pilot project and to extend this experience in the future to other  national parks," the head of government said.
