Speaker of Russian State Duma has proposed to officially register  Russian language in Armenia in the name of rights of Armenian drivers

ArmInfo.Speaker of State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin proposed officially to strengthen the Russian language in Armenia in the name of "rights" of Armenian drivers.

Ara Babloyan, Chairman of National Assembly of Armenia raised the  issue of the need to recognize national driving licenses on the  territory of Russia.

The law "On Amendments to the Federal Law on Road Safety and the Code  of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses" came into force  on June 1. Already on July 14, the State Duma passed a law  authorizing citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, as well  as other countries where Russian is official language, to work as  drivers on the territory of the Russian Federation on the basis of  national driving permits. As a result of work in the Russian  Federation from the EEU countries, only migrant drivers from Armenia  lost their jobs.

In response to Babloyan's remark that the law adopted by State Duma  actually deprived Armenian citizens of the opportunity to work in  Russia, Volodin said: "I can say only one thing, fix Russian as  official, and then the norm of the law will automatically cover  Armenia."
