ArmInfo. Since 2016, black and white times came to Georgia. Speaking at the conference "Caucasus-2016" organized by the Caucasus Institute, the associate professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Batumi State University, Shota Rustaveli, political scientist Giorgi Masalkin.
"These all began, since not the best parliamentary elections in our country last year. One of the specifics of our social-political agenda in Georgia is the deepest difference between the reality and the laws adopted and legal initiatives", he emphasized.
According to him, Georgian laws are adopted exclusively for outer auditorium, as the social consciousness of the Western people is not familiar to Georgians. According to the political scientist the authorities realize that brilliantly, so, without fearing the mobilization possibilities of the Georgian society.
"Not so long ago, at the international forum in Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili called on Georgia to cease to rank Georgia in the post-Soviet countries, noting that Georgia is closer to Eastern Europe in its reliable democratic institutions. In my opinion, in the political life of Georgia the informal level is more dominant, the old management model is acting, which, following the results of last year's parliamentary elections, was only entrenched", Masalkin noted.
According to him, little is left from the USSR heritage in Georgia visually, however, in the context of content the state is still in the past. In this light, despite the political rhetoric, the attempts to integrate into the European community, to Europe, Georgia is still very far away.
