Armenian-Kazakh relations`  development prospects were discussed by  Armenian Parliament vice-speaker and Kazakhstan Ambassador to Armenia

ArmInfo.Armenian National Assembly vice-speaker Edward Nalbandian welcomed Ambassador  Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazaev. During the meeting the parties referred to the current situation in the region, stressing the importance of  stability and peace in the countries of the region. 

NA vice-speaker, positively estimating current Armenian-Kazakh  relations, stressed further development of inter-parliamentary  relations and the role of friendship groups in this aspect.  Sharmazanov noted that the Parliament of 6th convocation soon will  form Armenian-Kazakhstan friendship group, and assured that it will  have an important role for further development of parliamentary  cooperation. 

NA vice-speaker referred to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and  stressed that both Armenia and Artsakh see conflict settlement in a  peaceful way. "Without considerable compromises, however, it is  impossible to reach the solution to the problems, meanwhile,  Azerbaijan is not ready yet to that compromises", Sharmazanov  stressed. In the context of regional security, Sharmazanov talked  about the problem of closed boundary of Turkey with Armenia and  stressed impermissibility of closed boundaries in XXI century. He is  sure that this is a serious threaten for the region. 

NA vice speaker stressed the importance of cooperation in  international structures- in CIS IPA, CSTO PA, describing the work of  parliamentary delegations at these platforms constructive. In his  assessment, EEU membership creates new opportunities for developing  economic ties between the two countries.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the contribution of  parliamentarians in the development of inter state relations. He also  stressed the importance of tense cooperation of the delegations in  interparliamentary platforms on the issues, representing bilateral  interest. Ambassador Urazayev confirmed once again that Kazakhstan,  being supporter of NK issue peaceful settelement, supports OSCE MG  activity. Urazayev, speaking about the parliamentary elections in  Armenia conducted in April, noted that the observers from Kazakhstan  hight estimated conducted elections in Armenia. 

The activity of Armenian community of Kazakhstan was also discussed.  The Ambassador assured that Armenians are actively involved in  social-political life of his country.
