ArmInfo. The new meeting of Garegin the Second with Allahshukyur Pashazadeh will be the exact copy of the previous ones - with no practical results. Armin Yunusov, a famous Azerbaijani conflictologist, candidate of historical sciences, expressed this opinion to ArmInfo.

The Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin the Second and the spiritual leader of the Muslims of Azerbaijan Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh intend to meet to negotiate around Karabakh through intermediately assistance of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

"Such a format exists since the very beginning of the conflict, as the first meeting of the spiritual leaders of Armenia Vazgen the First and Azerbaijan Allahshukur Pashazadeh was held on May 4th 1988 in Rostov-on- Don and ended with a demand on the sides of the conflict to settle the conflict peacefully. After that, such meetings were held repeatedly and always ended with traditional standard statements on the need for a peaceful settlement of the conflict," he said.

At the same time, according to Yunusov's estimates, the "peacemaker" Pashazade has been using anti- Armenian warlike, militaristic and xenophobic rhetoric for more than 25 years. And Vazgen I remained in the memory of Azerbaijanis as one of the incendiaries of the bloody fire in Karabakh. Conflictologist estimates Pashazade not as a militarist or peacemaker, but as a state official who easily makes peacekeeping statements at meetings, and in Baku speaking with belligerent and xenophobic statements.

According to Yunusov, the problem is not in the personality of Pashazadeh, but in the format itself, where the official spiritual leaders meet and not the real ones. According to hes estimates, Azerbaijani estimate the negotiation abilities of Pashazadeh, Garegin the Second and of Kirill   more then critically.

"Of course, if they were able to solve at least one problem, the attitude towards them would change, However, their previous meeting solved nothing. Nor the problem of snipers' presence on the line, not the war prisoners' handover, neither the problems of refugees.", Yunusov summed up.
