ArmInfo. Armenian State Revenue Committee two employees are arrested on illegal transportation of Azerbaijani apples to the territory of the Republic, Armenian SRC informs.
Within the investigation of the criminal case on causing significant damage to the State related to the illegal import of agricultural products and business activities to Armenia, Bagratashen customs service officer of the Department of State Revenue Committee Pre-Customs Control Department and the supervisor of the same branch are involved as defendants.
According to the SIS press service, during the investigation it is set that SRC pointed executive officers received bribery for illegal actions, promoting the import of vegetables and fruits without control. Particularly, the officer of the Department of SRC Pre-Customs Control D.A. and the officer of the shift V.M. entering into preliminary agreement with individual enterprisers G. A. and L.S., received bribes to allow without proper customs control and necessary laboratory tests, to import exceeding the legal orders fruit and vegetable production of 50 kg, including Azerbaijani origin apples. Mentioned businessmen further carried out the sale of illegally imported goods in the local market. "Thus, A.D. and V.A. for the received bribery are charged under A 2 Part 3 and A311. What is to the latter ones, arrest was chosen as a preventive measure." The preliminary investigation on the case is ongoing , "the SIS report reads.
To note, Armenian State Revenue Committee accepted his own deal of being guilty in the illegal transportation of Azerbaijani origin apples to the Republic. "I feel my share of guilt. At the same time, we found out guilty ones. However, everybody has his or her share of guilt: who imported these apples, who took bribes, and who sold them," Vardan Harutyunyan, SRC Head stated on May 11 during the press conference.
