ArmInfo. The OSCE Minsk Group currently does not see the need for a new UN resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh. On March 27, during a press conference in Yerevan, the US co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Richard Hoagland said, answering the question of how likely is the adoption of a new UN resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh.
He noted that just a month ago he was at the UN headquarters in New York, where he met with the leadership of the UN, presented the Karabakh problem. "They assured me that they are ready to take certain steps, if they can be useful. For example, it could be a UN resolution or some other help. However, at the moment the OSCE as an international structure plays a leading role in resolving this issue. And we, as part of the OSCE, share this responsibility and we can bear in mind this fact for the future. We do not close the open door. However, at this stage, we do not believe that there is a need for this. In the future, there may be such a need for and if there are real steps towards peace, maybe we will address UN for help", the Diplomat resumed.
