ARARAT Museum Presents a New Project ARARAT Speakers Night

ArmInfo. Over the years ARARAT legendary Armenian brandy has been the partner of the most important cultural events both in Armenia and worldwide. The special 2017 for ARARAT and Yerevan Brandy Company year will be celebrated with the unique approach. This time, the ARARAT Museum itself will become the initiator and the platform for the unique arttainment project held in the format of Public Talk. ARARAT Speakers Night is a special series of meetings and discussions, an intellectual space, where the professionals from different spheres including, experts, artists, opinion leaders, journalists and representatives of contemporary art will present their thoughts on urgent issues.

The topic of the first discussion is “The Museum today.” The era of IT expansion, when each of us can watch everything by a simple click on a smart phone, has challenged the museums to build a new type of relationships with the visitors. Having no way out, museums today are using various modern solutions, enriching even the high brow exhibitions with the technological and dramatic methods to make the visitors be absolutely immersed and provide for them ‘multi dimensional’ experience.

The speakers of the first episode of ARARAT Spekaers Night will be celebrated experts of the sphere. Zelfira Tregulova, director of the Russian State Tretyakov Gallery; and Danilo Eccher, curator, a contemporary art critic; and one of the primary faces in the Italian art. The moderator of the evening will be Ara Tadevosyan, the director of the leading Armenian Media Company “Mediamax”. During the meeting, the speakers will present the ways of building brand new type of relationships with regular and potential visitors. They also share with their rich experience of combining traditional and modern approaches, such as using cross-media technologies, which provided the record number of diversified visitors of different age and social backgrounds.

This initiative is aimed to continue the museum’s policy and hopefully will become the starting point for the new and unique tradition,” notes Karine Madelrieu, marketing director of the Yerevan Brandy Company. The permanent location for the ARARAT Speakers Night will be the ARARAT Museum. It is a member of ICOM (The International Council of Museums) and is one most demanded places of interest in Yerevan. Among the honored guests of which there were George Clooney, Vladimir Putin, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Maria Gulegina, Yan Gilan and many more. By carefully preserving traditions, the museum actively develops new approaches and innovative methods for various educational activities. This meeting will be the first one in a series of Talks devoted to art. Each ARARAT Speakers Night will be signed by the presence of the intersetting speaker from Armenia and abroad. Just as ARARAT brandy has become a leader in the world of Armenian brandy production by maintaining authenticity, so too will ARARAT Speakers Night has a great potential to become an international program that will interest not just the audience of Armenia but also the world’s intellectual community.
