ArmInfo. "During the April 2 parliamentary elections, the citizens will have an opportunity to make a real choice, and if there is a choice, there is a way out," Enlightened Armenia Party leader, lawmaker Edmon Marukyan, who tops the Yelk bloc list, says in an interview with ArmInfo.
"The name of our bloc reflects our aspirations. Today our logotype features a way out of an endless circle. Actually, we propose a way out of any situation in the provisions of our campaign program we are going to present to the public on March 5. Citizens constantly ask us "Isn't there any way out of the current situation?" Today we say - "There is a way out. We suggest voting for the Yelk bloc, making a change in the generations in the politics and curing the old diseases the political system of Armenia is affected by," the politician says.
"By taking that step, the Armenian society will finally be able to achieve such a model, where the supreme value will be a human being and everything will be done with due regard for the need to protect his/her rights and freedoms rather than to please a small group of people to the detriment of other people's rights," he says.
"Our model of Armenian statehood development implies repatriation, not further growth of migration," Marukyan says, noting that the people involved in the Yelk bloc have flawless biographies and have never discredited the mandates they received from the society. "Luckily or unluckily, I cannot say the same about the other political forces running in the elections," he stresses.
