ArmInfo.Head of "Heritage" Party Zaruhi Postanjyan presented to the National Assembly of Armenia a bill "On the non-recognition and condemnation of the illegal provisions of the anti-Armenian treaties of Moscow and Kars of March 16 and October 13, 1921".
As the bill states, the Republic of Armenia condemns and does not recognize the treaty signed on March 16, 1921 in Moscow between the Government of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the Government of the RSFSR on Russian-Turkish agreement of "friendship and brotherhood", in particular, illegal provisions on Armenian statehood.
The Republic of Armenia condemns and do not recognize the papers which ratify forces occupation of Armenian lands acoording to the treaty signed on October 13 of the same year, the treaty on friendship between Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian Soviet Socialist Republics from one side and Turkey from the other side, signed with participation of RSFSR.
In addition, the Republic of Armenia, as is stated in the draft law recognizes and condemns the ratification of treaties between Kemalist Turkey and the Government of the RSFSR of March 16, 1922, and to the Government of Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic of March 20, 1922. At the same time, the Republic of Armenia confirms its right to restore Armenian statehood in the historical lands captured by Azerbaijan and Turkey.
"The provisions of the Sevres Treaty on Armenian historic lands and also the decision of the US President Woodrow Wilson of November 22, 1920, the Republic of Armenia recognizes as a legal and is taking steps of implementation", resumes the bill.To recall, according to Moscow Treaty, the RSFSR recognized Turkey within the boundaries proclaimed by the "Turkish National Pact" in accordance with the provisions of the Moudros truce. The treaty summed up the international law section of the statement between the Republic of Armenia, the Azerbaijan SSR and Turkey. Adopted without the participation of the Azerbaijani SSR, the Armenian SSR and the Georgian SSR, found the north-eastern border of Turkey with these states, securing the territorial gaining of Turkey by the Alexandropol (Gyumri) treaty, with the exception of the city of Alexandropol and the eastern part of the former Alexandropol district of Yerevan, a province that Turkey is obliged to pass to Armenian SSR, the northern part of the Batumi region, which Turkey undertook to pass the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, and the territory of the former Nakhchivan and Sharur- Daralagсzskogo districts of Yerevan province, which Turkey undertook to pass under the protectorate of Azerbaijani SSR. According to the agreement, the southern part of the Batumi region (Artvin province), former Kars region, the former Surmalin County and the western part of the former county Alexandropol of Erivan Province remained within Turkish. The followed treaty of Kars on October 1921, which is identical to the Moscow Treaty between the Kemalists, on the one hand, and the Transcaucasian Soviet Socialist Republic, which entered in 1922 into the TSFSR and in its composition in the USSR, on the other, completed the legal registration of state borders, existing nowadays.
