ArmInfo. Russia President Vladimir Putin signed the law on Ratification of the Agreement on the Joint Investigation Teams Establishment and Performance Procedures. The document, approved by the Federation Board of Russian Parliament on February 15, is published at the official portal of legal information.
The Document was adopted at the session of CIS Countries Leaders in Kazakhstan on October 16, 2015, and was signed by Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan. The decisions on setting and cancellation of such groups are taken by heads of authorized entities (from Russian side those are the Investigation Committee, FSB and Internal Affairs Ministry).
According to Alexander Romanov, the Russian Vice Minister of Internal Affairs, "the Agreement will give an option to simplify the interaction between entities during the investigation process". Romanov mentioned also that this Agreement does not contradict any International Treaties of Russia. Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic have already ratified the document.
