ArmInfo. There is a potential for more effective cooperation between Armenia and Iran in law enforcement sector
According to the information of the Prosecutor General press office of Armenia, this was stated by Arthur Davtyan, the Prosecutor General of Armenia during his meeting to Seyed Kazem Sadjadi, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia. In his turn, Sadjadi accentuated the importance of the cooperation between Prosecutors Offices of Armenia and Iran, as well as of other law enforcement entities, considering the condition that after visa issuance liberalization the mutual visits of two countries nationals essentially increased.
Different issues on mutual legal help were discussed at the meeting, as well as regarding extradition of sentenced persons.
Davtyan stated that prosecutor's office within the framework of its competence is ready for a closer cooperation with Iranian party, to arrange proper legal protection of nationals for Armenian citizens in iran and vice versa. Parties agreed to improve in the future strong relations of mutual cooperation. Sajadi delivered to Davtyan the invitation of Iranian Prosecutor General to visit IRI.
