ArmInfo.During the plenary session of PACE, Armenian lawmaker Naira Karapetyan raised the issue of regular Azeri sabotage attacks against Armenia and Artsakh.
She stressed that the latest sabotage attack was against Armenia. Karapetyan stressed that with such actions, Azerbaijan violates the international law standards. Silence paves the way for new crimes, she stressed, pointing out the need to take steps to prevent such crimes in the future.
For her part, Head of the Armenian Delegation to PACE, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hermine Naghdalyan called on PACE to keep monitoring Turkey given the numerous violations of freedom of speech and human rights in that country.
To recall, on December 29 morning, the Azeri armed forces attempted a sabotage attack on the southeastern section of the Azeri-Armenian border near Chinari village of Tavush province of Armenia. The adversary used sniper rifles and grenade launchers. The Armenian troops got to grips with the adversary. Armenian Defense Ministry Spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that three Armenian servicemen were killed - Senior Lieutenant Shavarsh Melikyan and privates Edgar Narayan and Erik Abovyan. The adversary suffered 7 human losses, including one victim left on the Armenian side when retreating.
