ArmInfo. Secretary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Security Council, Artsakh War hero, General Vitaly Balasanyan is sure that no one can take away Armenian lands from Armenians.
On January 28, the Day of Armenian Army, Balasanyan told reporters that the Armenian Armed Forces will carry out any task. At the same time, Balasanyan is sure that Armenians have nothing to worry about, especially when speaking of the weapons and military equipment of Azerbaijan. "I do not underestimate the adversary, but I am sure the armed forces of the two Armenian states will worthily carry out their tasks," he stressed. Balasanyan also expressed confidence that the Armenian side will retrieve the territories lost during the April war.
When commenting on the stand of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan regarding the Karabakh problem and territorial concessions, Balasanyan said that he has no desire to listen to those collecting political dividends by means of the Karabakh problem. "It is very dangerous. I would advise people to neither listen nor read the statements of such people or politicians," he said. "We see that Azerbaijan has ambitious plans. We have no such ambitious plans," he said, adding that those who are able to defend their homeland will not cede their lands. "I am sure that no one can take away our lands. The April events taught us a big lesson. We have already corrected our mistakes. I am sure we are ready to suppress any attacks", he stressed.
