ArmInfo. Gagik Tsarukyan's return to politics does not diminish the opportunities of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) at the elections, Vice Speaker of Armenian Parliament, RPA Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov said following the RPA Executive Body's meeting.
"Notwithstanding his plans and the plans of his bloc, we have our own programs and schedule and Tsarukyan's return will not influence our agenda," Sharmazanov said.
To note, ArmInfo previously reported that the Prosperous Armenia Party will run in the parliamentary election as part of the Gagik Tsarukyan bloc, which will be headed by oligarch-lawmaker Gagik Tsarukyan. The Pan-Armenian National Movement represented by its leader Ararat Zurabyan and ex-foreign minister Alexander Arzumanyan will join the bloc. The bloc's ticket will also include entrepreneur Khachatur Kokobelyan and ex-minister of justice Hovhannes Manukyan. Within the next few days the Prosperous Armenia Party will hold an extraordinary congress to discuss issues related to consolidation and the proportional list of the Gagik Tsarukyan bloc.
