Following the investigative measures taken by the Armenian National Security Service, Head of the Socio-medical Expertising Agency of the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Issues Armen Soghoyan and Head of the Follow-up Examination Department A.P. have been arrested on suspicion of bribery, the press office of the National Security Service has told ArmInfo.
By preliminary data, via the corruption scheme at the Agency, the officials took bribes and gave them to their chiefs. The search in Soghoyan's room found 2.547.000 AMD and 600 USD, the major part of which was in the envelopes.
The source says that a criminal case has been instituted based on Article 311.3.2 of the Armenian Criminal Code. Two-month arrest has been chosen as a measure of restraint against Soghoyan.
