ArmInfo. Former Deputy Head of President's Administration and President's representative in the parliament Viktor Dallakyan has once again refuted information that he is a false oppositionist at the press conference in Yerevan today.
Besides, Dallakyan states that prior to his resignation President Serzh Sargsyan offered him to hold another high position and not to become oppositionist. "By doing this Sargsyan attempted to hold me by offering a job, to bribe me, however his plan failed", he stated. At the same time the politician noted that after having a talk with the President and before the press conference, at which he announced about his resignation Head of President's Administration Armen Gevorgyan tried to talk to him. "But I did not answer to his calls, after which Gevorgyan sent a message that he has an instruction from the President, I did not answer the message either", Dallakyan stated. The politician explained his decision to become an oppositionist with a complex social economic situation in the country: '' The situation is so bad that even the Prime Minister admits it'', he stated.
To note, non-partisan Viktor Dallakyan was elected MP from Vanadzor under the majority election system in 2007. However, in 2012, after he joined the Republican Party of Armenia, he went out at the parliamentary election and Edmon Marukyan (who was a non- partisan then) became a lawmaker. Since then Dallakyan has been the deputy chief of the Presidential Administration and the Armenian President's Representative in the National Assembly of Armenia. However, on October 10 2016 he stated that he has resigned and left the Republican Party. At the same time he stated that he intends to return to active politics and participate in upcoming parliamentary elections as an oppositionist. ''If anything happens to me or my family Serzh Sargsyan personally will be responsible for that'', the politician noted. At the same time Dallakyan stated that Sargsyan has not fulfilled any of his promises during his whole tenure.
