The Prime  New Year Tree lights on  at 7 PM December 19. 

ArmInfo. On December 19 at 7:00 PM the Republic Square New Year Tree  lights and the city illumination will be turned on, Aram Sukiasyan, the vice mayor of Yerevan  stated presenting the New Year Arrangements Program  entitled " The New Year 2017 in Yerevan" 

He informed  that Municipality arranges a New Year Show at the  Republic Square  on December 31 from 10:00 PM to 01:00 AM , and at  midnight the firework will  be shot out to celebrate the  New Year .  On January 2-5 the Historical Museum of Yerevan, "Erebouni" museum  and the Modern Art Museum will also be open. 

Sukiasyan  also noted, that main celebration arrangements will take  place at the Freedom Square, where  an ice city will be opened and   everybody  will have an opportunity to visit Santa Klaus during the  period between December 19 and January 13.  

Deputy mayor mentioned also, that in 2017 a special attention in 2017  will be paid to social projects.  Particularly, a food packages will  be provided   to  socially vulnerable families living in the capital.  There are also presents prepared for 40 thousand children. Beside  that, about 4000 children will have an opportunity to visit theatres  performing under the municipality. The celebration events will finish  with a concert, which will take place on January 13.
