ArmInfo. If the ruling Republican party wins the 2017 Parliamentary elections, Karen Karapetyan will be the Head of the Government, continuing the implementation of the existing Program, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyna stated at the RPA Conference on November 26.
According President, the RPA priority is to conduct clear and transparent elections, and to get the votes through fair and open competition. "RPA will have a team inspiring trust and respect, which will be able to work with other political bases in a principally new environment," President stated. At that President accentuated that the new program and initiatives, and the renewed acting mode should increase the RPA role on political field.
He also greeted the decision of the Prime Minister and of some Ministers to join RPA, stating his confidence that Karapetyan's managerial skills will give a new impulse to RPA activities.
To note, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information echnologies Vahan Martirosyan, Argicultural Minister Ignaty Arakelyan, Health Minister Levon Altounyan, Syunik Governoe Vahe Hakobyan submitted applications to join RPA. Karapetyan and Martirosyan explained their applications to work in a joint team to make the task implementation more successful. Arakelyan stated that the ideology of RPA is close to him despite he is not familiar with Garegin Nzhdeh's works, which are the basis of the ideology mentioned. And the Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan said he has not made a decision yet, and he will make it in April 2017. But in April the parliamentary elections are expected to be held, and the Government will be resigned.
