Yerevan hosts consultations among foreign ministries of CIS Member  States  

ArmInfo.Yerevan hosted consultations among the foreign ministries of the CIS Member States "Interaction of the CIS Member States in the Area of Information". 

The press office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry has told ArmInfo  that chaired by Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tigran Balayan,  the consultations were attended by the heads of CIS departments in  the area of information.     

The agenda included issues related to effective exchange of  information among the CIS member states, expansion of cooperation  with global and regional organizations, enhancement of information  security, fight against propaganda of terrorism, radicalism,  violence, xenophobia and intolerance, coverage of important events  within the CIS. Special attention was paid to challenges in the area  of information and the steps to resist them.      

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan received the  event participants.
