ArmInfo.The leaders of the CSTO member states will issue no statement on Nagorno-Karabakh, TASS quotes Russian President's Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as saying.
"Not today," Peskov told reporters when asked whether the CSTO leaders will issue a statement on Karabakh.
Earlier on Thursday, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that 24 documents are to be signed at the meetings, with part of them behind the closed doors. He noted that the leaders of the CSTO countries will discuss the appointment of new Secretary General of the Organization, adopt a statement on the influence of one-sided deployment of missile defense systems on the international security, as well as a statement on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The presidents will adopt the Collective Security Strategy for 2025 outline such internal challenges and threats as terrorism and extremism, recruiting of people into organizations, stirring up international, inter-ethnic and religious conflicts, hatred and use of information technologies for that purpose.
