ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has decreed appointing Vardan Harutyunyan as the new head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia. The press office of the Armenian President reports that on October 10 Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree dismissing Hovhannes Hovsepyan as the chairman of the State Revenue Committee under the Armenian Government. By another decree of Sargsyan, Vardan Harutyunyan has been appointed head of the Committee.
Vardan Harutyunyan was born on 1 Jan 1975. He graduated from Yerevan Institute of National Economy, majoring in Industrial Economics and Management. He holds a PhD degree in Economics. In 1994–1999 Harutyunyan worked at the Abovyan yeast plant as a shift supervisor and deputy chief of the production unit. In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Abovyan Production & Operation Section at the Kotaykgaz gasification & gas supply branch. In 2000, he was appointed Head of the Abovyan Production & Operation Service at the Kotaykgaz gasification & gas supply branch. In 2000–2002, Harutyunyan was the director of the Abovyan gasification & gas supply branch under ArmRosgazprom. In 2002–2009, he was the director of the Yerevan gasification & gas supply branch under ArmRosgazprom. In 2009, Harutyunyan worked as Deputy Director General for Commerce and External Relations at ArmRosgazprom. In 2010–2011, he was appointed Acting Director General of ArmRosgazprom. In 2011, he became the chairman of the Management Committee, Director General of ArmRosgazprom. Since 2014, he has been Chairman of the Management Committee, Director General of Gazprom Armenia, Member of the Gazprom Armenia Board of Directors, Member of the Gazprom Armenia Management Committee. By the decree of the Armenian President, Harutyunyan was awarded an Anania Shirakatsi Medal. By the decree of the NKR President, he was awarded a Mesrop Mashots Medal.
