ArmInfo.Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin and Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan discussed issues of the Armenian-Russian cooperation.
According to the Government press-office, Karen Karapetyan hailed the high level of bilateral relations saying that mutually advantageous cooperation develops in all areas. He pointed at the further development of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The prime minister said there are great opportunities to enhance the level of Russian investments in the economy of Armenia and boost the trade and economic turnover.
Ambassador Volynkin, in turn, said he believes in the success of the new government of Armenia. In 2016, the commodity turnover between Armenia and Russia increased by 10% to $450 million, Maksim Sokolov, Minister of Transport of Russia said on July 8 summing up the results of the 17th session of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
