Armenian National Congress opposition party has disseminated a statement wherein it says that the October 2 elections to the local self-government in Armenia did not differ from the previous elections, as bribery, administrative resource and clan-based ties dominated throughout the elections on the tip from the authorities.
"ANC will analyze the recent elections and their results to elaborate new methods of fight against new tendency of election rigging. All our efforts will be aimed at the victory in the parliamentary elections in 2017 and power change to establish democracy and ensure development of Armenia," ANC says in the statement.
ANC took the last places in the local elections in Vanadzor and Gyumri with fewer than 2,000 votes. The ruling Republican Party swept the elections.
