ArmInfo. A criminal case has been instituted based on Article 131.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code over the fact of kidnapping of an Iranian citizen by a tax inspection employee.
The press office of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia has told ArmInfo that on September 19, around 0:10 am local time, the Kotayk police department received an alarm from Benik M., resident of Abovyan town, who said that unknown persons kidnapped his friend from the farm located in Mayakovsky village of Kotayk province.
The Special Investigation Service has found out that the person kidnapped is an Iranian citizen, who says that tax officer of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, T.G., and his cronies used violence against him on the farm in Mayakovsky village. Afterwards they forced him into a Toyota Camry, but then the tax officer received a call from the police and immediately let the foreigner go.
The investigation is still underway.
