Arms are supplied to Armenia in conformity with the interstate agreements signed, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said when commenting on the demonstration of Russian-made advanced weapons, including Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile systems, during the military parade on occasion of the 25th independence anniversary of Armenia.
"Azerbaijan and Armenia are friendly countries for Russia, but the Defense Ministry of Russia is engaged in the arms supply. These weapons have been supplied in conformity with interstate agreements," Maria Zakharova told haqqin.az.
The independence military parade in Yerevan featured military hardware that included Iskander short-range ballistic missile systems, Buk and other modernized surface-to-air missile systems, Smerch heavy multiple rocket launchers, as well as drones and Mi-29 and Su-25 planes, Soviet-era Scud-B and Tochka-U systems, Infauna electronic warfare vehicles, S-300 missile systems, WM-80, MRLS, columns of tanks mounted on heavy military trucks, armored vehicles and others.
