Araik Khandoyan`s brother goes on a hunger strike

ArmInfo. Ararat Khandoyan, who  is charged with participating in mass disorders, the brother of Sasna  Tsrer (Daredevils of Sassoon) group, arrestee Araik Khandoyan, has  gone on a hunger strike.   

Ararat Khandoyan's lawyer Ara Karagyozyan says that Khandoyan started  the hunger strike on September 6 to protest against the criminal  prosecution against him. The lawyer says that his client considers  the measure of restraint (arrest) against him to be illegal and  related to his kindred with Araik Khandoyan.     

Ararat Khandoyan faces charges under Article 225.2 of the Armenian  Criminal Code (Immediate implementation of actions envisaged in part  1 of this Article - Organization of mass disorder, accompanied with  violence, pogroms, arson, destruction or damage to property, using  fire-arms, explosives or explosive devices, or by armed resistance to  the representative of the authorities). The defense denies the  charges.
